Mangos sits on the sand along 5 de Diciembre, north of the Romantic Zone, and draws more locals than the operations clustered on Los Muertos. Loungers, umbrellas, table service to your chair, and a straight west-facing view of the Pacific for the sunset. Food and drinks arrive without you getting up, which is the entire proposition and the reason people book a day here rather than bar hopping. The crowd skews resident rather than cruise ship, and the stretch of beach is wider and calmer than the one twenty minutes south.
Note: This one runs as a beach club rather than a walk-up bar. Expect a day pass, a minimum spend, or both. Worth knowing before you wander in barefoot expecting a bar stool.
