El Patio runs a sand floor, tiki torches and cocktails served in coconuts, which reads like a checklist until you are sitting in it at dusk and it works exactly as intended. The mojitos are made with fresh mint and local limes and are the thing to order. Early evening brings sunset watchers and families, and after ten the crowd tips older and starts dancing. The restaurant side is better than it needs to be. It is a short walk from everything else in town, which in Sayulita means about four minutes, so there is no reason not to look in on the way past.
