EEG Boulevard runs down Bonaire’s southwest shore toward Punt Vierkant, and Ocean Oasis sits on Kings Beach along the way. The thing that makes it worth the drive is Friday. Vrijmibo is the Dutch Friday-afternoon drink, an office tradition somebody had the good sense to move onto a Caribbean beach, and here it runs from five until eleven with happy hour on the front end, live DJs, a beach BBQ and dancing in the sand. Sunday evening is the Fish & Meat Market, where you pick your local fish or your cut, the chefs put it on the grill, and it comes back to your table between six and nine. The rest of the week is quieter. Breakfast from nine, beach beds and cabanas by the day, water directly in front of you.
