Out on the Nature Coast where Hernando Beach dissolves into canals and mangrove flats, the Tropical Grille is a covered open-air deck with the water close enough to hear. Food comes off a truck rather than a full kitchen, which is exactly the sort of detail that keeps the prices honest and the seafood moving fast. Raw oysters, blackened fish tacos, and lobster rolls do the heavy lifting, while the canal-side seating keeps working boats and freeloading pelicans in the frame all afternoon. It takes a turn into the marina to find, which is most of the appeal.
