On the waterfront in Oranjestad, Aruba’s colorful Dutch colonial capital, The West Deck combines Caribbean beach bar energy with harbor views in a setting that lets you watch the sunset over the water while enjoying fresh seafood and cold drinks. More local and more relaxed than the Palm Beach tourist strip, with the added charm of Oranjestad’s beautifully preserved Dutch-Caribbean architecture as a backdrop.

We Haven’t Been Here Yet

The Beach Bar Bum hasn’t made it to The West Deck yet. Budget cuts, tragic. But there’s water, drinks, and zero shoe policy, so it’s on the list. We just need a brave soul to confirm it’s real, preferably with a cold drink in hand.
