At Arroyo Burro Beach (known locally as Hendry’s Beach), the Boathouse is the most beloved and most perfectly situated beach bar in Santa Barbara, sitting directly on the sand of the city’s most popular local beach with fresh Pacific seafood, cold California wines and beers, and the stunning backdrop of the Santa Barbara hills descending to the Pacific. The dog-friendly beach and the laid-back local energy make this the Santa Barbara beach experience that residents cherish most.

The Beach Bar Bum hasn’t made it to The Boathouse at Hendry’s Beach yet. Budget cuts, tragic. But there’s water, drinks, and zero shoe policy, so it’s on the list. We just need a brave soul to confirm it’s real, preferably with a cold drink in hand.
