Neptune’s Net has been sitting at the Ventura County line on Pacific Coast Highway since the late 1950s, serving peel-and-eat shrimp, crab legs, and draft beer to Harley riders cruising down the coast, surfers coming in off Leo Carrillo, and Malibu regulars who’ve been coming since before the celebrities showed up. The setup is divey by design: two sides, a restaurant side with fried food and bottled drinks and a seafood side with fresh catch, grilled fish plates, ceviche, and beer on tap. No reservations. The concrete tables outside are the point. It’s been a location scout favorite for years—recognizable from Point Break, among other productions—but the parking lot full of motorcycles and the line out the door on summer Sundays tells you it remains genuinely local.
