At the base of the Venice Fishing Pier in the Shark’s Tooth Capital of the World, Sharky’s on the Pier has been a Gulf Coast landmark since 1987, voted Best Florida Beach Bar in 2013, 2018, and 2019 and a Top 10 Florida Beach Bar multiple additional years. The two-story setup has a tiki bar at beach level and a second-floor deck with panoramic views of the Gulf and pier; live music runs most nights, and on weekends twice daily. Macadamia grouper, Mahi-Mahi sandwich, and Mango Bango frozen rum drinks are the signature orders. After dinner, walk the pier and search the sand for shark teeth: Venice Beach produces more fossil shark teeth than anywhere on the planet.

We Haven’t Been Here Yet

The Beach Bar Bum hasn’t made it to Sharky’s on the Pier yet. Budget cuts, tragic. But there’s water, drinks, and zero shoe policy, so it’s on the list. We just need a brave soul to confirm it’s real, preferably with a cold drink in hand.
