The birthplace of Oregon’s most celebrated coastal craft brewery, built in 1996 by three founders whose passion for great beer outpaced their understanding of what building a brewery would require — and who did it anyway. The only beachfront brewpub in the Pacific Northwest, Pelican sits steps from the sand at Cape Kiwanda with Oregon’s largest Haystack Rock rising from the surf beyond the patio, dory boats launching through the shore break below, and surfers riding the Cape Kiwanda waves. The Kiwanda Cream Ale was born here; the beachfront patio with the Haystack Rock backdrop is one of the great drinking experiences in the Pacific Northwest.
