A Kill Devil Hills landmark and one of North Carolina’s most celebrated craft breweries, the Outer Banks Brewing Station was the first wind-powered brewery in the United States: a beautiful, sustainably built brewpub where fresh-brewed ales and lagers pair with the OBX’s extraordinary natural backdrop of the Wright Brothers Memorial, the Atlantic, and the Albemarle Sound. The Kill Devil Stout and the Lemongrass Wheat are the house signatures; the wind turbine out front is the conversation starter.

We Haven’t Been Here Yet

The Beach Bar Bum hasn’t made it to Outer Banks Brewing Station yet. Budget cuts, tragic. But there’s water, drinks, and zero shoe policy, so it’s on the list. We just need a brave soul to confirm it’s real, preferably with a cold drink in hand.
