A Kill Devil Hills institution on the Outer Banks, Goombays has been serving fresh raw bar selections, Caribbean-inflected seafood, and cold drinks with warm island energy for decades: a beloved OBX bar that captures the particular easy-going, slightly tropical character that the Outer Banks develops during the long summer season. Fresh local oysters, cold Pamlico Sound-caught seafood, and the Goombay Smash that keeps returning visitors coming back every season.

We Haven’t Been Here Yet

The Beach Bar Bum hasn’t made it to Goombays Grille and Raw Bar yet. Budget cuts, tragic. But there’s water, drinks, and zero shoe policy, so it’s on the list. We just need a brave soul to confirm it’s real, preferably with a cold drink in hand.
