The legendary Luquillo Kiosks are one of Puerto Rico’s most celebrated and most authentically Puerto Rican food and drink experiences: a row of open-air kiosks just outside the entrance to Luquillo Beach serving mofongo, alcapurrias, bacalaitos, fresh seafood, and cold Medalla Light to the families, surfers, and visitors who make the drive east from San Juan along PR-3 to one of the island’s most beautiful and most beloved public beaches. Not a single bar but an institution: the definitive Puerto Rican beach snack and cold beer experience, operating in the same spot for generations.

We Haven’t Been Here Yet

The Beach Bar Bum hasn’t made it to Luquillo Kiosks Beach Bars yet. Budget cuts, tragic. But there’s water, drinks, and zero shoe policy, so it’s on the list. We just need a brave soul to confirm it’s real, preferably with a cold drink in hand.
