On the Isla Verde beach strip in Carolina, El Alambique is one of the liveliest and most beloved beach bars on Puerto Rico’s most celebrated resort beach: a warm, music-forward beach lounge where cold rum cocktails, live reggaeton and tropical music, and the festive energy of the Isla Verde strip combine to create one of the Caribbean’s most authentically Puerto Rican beach bar experiences. El alambique means the still, and the name nods to Puerto Rico’s legendary rum distilling heritage; the cold Medalla Light and rum drinks deliver on the promise.

We Haven’t Been Here Yet

The Beach Bar Bum hasn’t made it to El Alambique Beach Lounge yet. Budget cuts, tragic. But there’s water, drinks, and zero shoe policy, so it’s on the list. We just need a brave soul to confirm it’s real, preferably with a cold drink in hand.
