Chrishi Beach Club

Also known as Ganzie’s, this is about as no-frills as Pinney’s Beach gets: a four-post wood frame, a scatter of stools and a picnic table or two, and a cooler of Carib and Stag parked front-row on the sand with an unobstructed view across the channel to St. Kitts. Ganzie runs the place with a laid-back charm that makes up for the complete absence of pretension – notice a band t-shirt and he’ll have it queued up on the speaker before you’ve ordered. Don’t worry if nobody’s behind the bar when you show up; Ganzie’s never far. Snacks hang from the roof, cocktails are more theory than practice here, and the whole appeal is baked into the name.

Bright green and impossible to miss, Lime sits a bit back from the water on Pinney’s Beach with a rooftop deck that gives it away from a distance. First impressions matter here: a cool, mint-infused towel arrives before the menu, and the welcome only gets warmer from there. The newer ‘Beach Club’ wing puts cabanas and loungers right on the sand near the water, built around its own compact, funky bar – cruise-ship groups from St. Kitts often claim the prime real estate, so plan accordingly. Solid beer selection, a genuinely good top-shelf rum collection, and hearty plates from burgers to fresh lobster. Split your time between the Beach Club buzz and the calmer main restaurant.

Nevis’s first microbrewery pours right onto Pinney’s Beach. Owners Robert and Silvia combined Western Canadian hospitality instincts with old-world Austrian brewing chops to build a genuine taproom in a tropical-alpine shell: lagers, an IPA, a stout, and a flagship Monkey Mango ale, all made on-site and now showing up in cans across the island. The kitchen backs it up with an ambitious menu running from Jamaican fish wrap to lasagna to a proper pizza list, plus a rum-forward cocktail program for anyone who’d rather skip the taps. Technically it’s more pub than beach bar, but Pinney’s sand is steps away, and nobody on this island is complaining about fresh drafts brewed a few feet from where they’re poured.

Llewellyn Daniel, known simply as Sunshine, has been mixing the legendary Killer Bee on Pinney’s Beach since 1989, Nevis Peak rising behind a bar that has become an essential Caribbean stop purely through one man’s personality.

The view across the Narrows to Nevis from Cockleshell Bay is one of the most beautiful in the entire Eastern Caribbean, and Spice Mill pairs it with a genuinely serious cocktail program.
