Out at the end of De Palm Pier on Palm Beach, Bugaloe dangles over the Caribbean like the universe’s most reasonable reward for making it to Aruba. The setup is almost unfair: an overwater deck, 180-degree ocean views, trade winds blowing through at a constant and refreshing pace, and a drinks menu anchored by the Aruba Ariba (the island’s signature rum concoction that arrives red, tropical, and stronger than it looks). Happy hour runs twice daily. The fish tacos are frequently cited as the best on the island. The sunsets here hit differently from the pier than they do from the beach: you’re surrounded by water on three sides, and when the sky starts doing its thing, the whole scene becomes the kind of moment you’ll describe badly to people back home for years. Show up early for a good rail seat.
