The beach bar that expats built their whole days around, on the beautiful beach of Santa Teresa with lounge chairs, multiple seating areas, breakfast through dinner, and a two-for-one cocktail happy hour at sunset that is as close to perfection as beach bars get. Open daily from 9am to 1am. The sunsets here from the Nicoya Peninsula are legendary. One of the best beach bars in all of Costa Rica.

We Haven’t Been Here Yet

The Beach Bar Bum hasn’t made it to Banana Beach yet. Budget cuts, tragic. But there’s water, drinks, and zero shoe policy, so it’s on the list. We just need a brave soul to confirm it’s real, preferably with a cold drink in hand.
