We haven't made it to this bar yet, but here is what we know

Jack Bahrs bought a beached houseboat in Highlands in 1917 and started cooking chowder for fishing parties who came down on the train from Jersey City. That was the beginning. A century later, Bahrs Landing is still family-owned (Ray and Jay Cosgrove are the fourth-generation great-grandsons of the founders), and Frank Sinatra and Joe DiMaggio once ate lobster dinners here, which is the kind of history a bar either has or doesn’t. The dockside tiki bar overlooks Sandy Hook Bay with the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge visible on clear days. Order the lobster. It’s what people have been doing here for over 100 years.

We Haven’t Been Here Yet
The Beach Bar Bum hasn’t made it to Bahrs Landing yet. Budget cuts, tragic. But there’s water, drinks, and zero shoe policy, so it’s on the list. We just need a brave soul to confirm it’s real, preferably with a cold drink in hand.
