9th Ave Pier sits on the pier at the Belmar Marina, which means you’re out over the water when you’re at the bar — not near it, on it. The rum buckets are the move: they come in seven flavors and they’ve been the signature since the place found its footing as a summer institution. Live bands play most evenings from June through Labor Day. The raw bar is solid. The mini golf course on the property is either charming or annoying depending on your mood, but the pier views toward the Manasquan Inlet are never either of those things.
