The sunset bar at Water’s Edge Resort in Westbrook on Long Island Sound, delivering cold cocktails and some of the finest sunset views on the entire Connecticut coastline: the Long Island Sound turning gold and pink as the sun drops, sailboats in the foreground, and the easy, sophisticated resort bar atmosphere of a property that has been making the most of its extraordinary setting for decades.

The Beach Bar Bum hasn’t made it to Water’s Edge Resort Sunset Bar yet. Budget cuts, tragic. But there’s water, drinks, and zero shoe policy, so it’s on the list. We just need a brave soul to confirm it’s real, preferably with a cold drink in hand.
