At the Union Bluff Hotel in York Beach, perched on the dramatic rocky bluff above Short Sands Beach, the Deck Bar delivers cold cocktails and one of the most spectacular oceanfront views in all of southern Maine: the Atlantic crashing against the rocks below, the sweep of Short Sands Beach curving away, and the Nubble Lighthouse in the distance. The views alone justify the visit; the cold drinks make it easy to stay.

We Haven’t Been Here Yet

The Beach Bar Bum hasn’t made it to Union Bluff Hotel Deck Bar yet. Budget cuts, tragic. But there’s water, drinks, and zero shoe policy, so it’s on the list. We just need a brave soul to confirm it’s real, preferably with a cold drink in hand.
