Under the north end of the Golden Gate Bridge, upstairs in the Presidio Yacht Club clubhouse on Horseshoe Bay, sits the least yacht-club-like bar in Marin. The wood is old, the flags are odd, and there’s a stack of board games behind the bar for anyone who asks. Drinks are cheap and poured without ceremony. Food is bar food, and not much of it. The view is the whole point: the bridge, the City across the water, and herons working the marina below. Live bands and a dance floor take over on weekends, well-behaved dogs are welcome, and nobody checks for a membership card. Hours are short, usually Friday through Sunday only, so plan around them. Does a yacht club bar count? This one does.
