The Lewes-Rehoboth Canal runs through the middle of Lewes, and The Wheelhouse sits right on it at the drawbridge, which is exactly where a waterfront bar should be. The guys behind Zogg’s Raw Bar in Rehoboth opened this one and brought the Key West playbook with them: fish tacos, a rum bar, a raw bar, outdoor deck seating, and live music most nights. The canal traffic keeps things interesting — you can arrive by boat, which is not something most Delaware bars can say. The vibe is casual and local-leaning. Come for happy hour and stay until the drawbridge goes up.
