A note from the Beach Bar Bum: This review was provided by a trusted source – thank you Karin!
This is my personal review of a Suffolk County, Long Island, New York bar/restaurant that I have been going to for almost 30 years! All I have are incredible memories here.
You can travel here quite easily by taking the ferries out of Bay Shore, NY
(https://fireislandferries.com/schedules/kismet/)
AND/OR
You can drive to Robert Moses State Park and park at Field 5 (600 Robert Moses State Pkwy), which sits right at 1 Burma Road. (I have included pics regarding walking🚶♀️🚶♂️there).
Is it Beachfront?
Since this website is all about beach bars, I wanted to be accurate so I clicked “other.” I also did that in regards to “About the Food.” The Kismet Inn is actually a bay front bar, sitting right on the marina, so technically it might not fit the exact “beach bar” label.
But honestly? The fact that you can grab a drink 🥥🍸🍍 on the Great South Bay and then take a quick, 5 min. walk right over to the Amazing Waves of the Atlantic Ocean.. just makes it the Ultimate combo. It’s quite the Catch 🎏 !
As far as the Menu:
It’s not a massive, overwhelming full menu, but it’s Definitely More than just your typical basic bar food. They have great options that just fit the whole vibe 🏖 of the place perfectly. You can grab everything from burgers, wings, and baked clams to excellent fresh seafood 🦀 like tuna wasabi, local fish tacos, and… their lobster 🦞 rolls!
You can’t come to Fire Island and not get a lobster roll – OH, and a Rocket Fuel 🍹 It just fits the VIBE!
This is Long Island!
I ♥ NY
Prime Seat:
By the bar, also dancing at night if you wish.. or if you wish to dance before then🕺You Can Do It All Day Long.
