On the Patuxent River in Lusby, Vera’s Beachfront has been a Southern Maryland institution for decades, a sprawling, festive waterfront complex with a full bar, live music, steamed crabs, and a loyal following that makes the summer pilgrimage to Vera’s an annual tradition. The sunset views over the Patuxent are legitimately beautiful; the crab feast atmosphere is legitimately boisterous; and the combination of quality and community makes Vera’s one of the most beloved waterfront bars in Southern Maryland.

We Haven’t Been Here Yet

The Beach Bar Bum hasn’t made it to Sunset Creek at Vera’s Beachfront Restaurant Bar yet. Budget cuts, tragic. But there’s water, drinks, and zero shoe policy, so it’s on the list. We just need a brave soul to confirm it’s real, preferably with a cold drink in hand.
