A beloved New Buffalo bar and grill in the southwestern Michigan beach community that serves as the unofficial gateway to the Harbor Country shore, the stretch of Lake Michigan beach towns that Chicago weekend visitors have made their warm-weather destination. Cold Michigan craft beers, fresh Great Lakes food, and the warm, community-anchored bar energy of a New Buffalo institution that serves both the year-round lake community and the Chicago weekenders who fill the Harbor Country towns every summer weekend.

We Haven’t Been Here Yet

The Beach Bar Bum hasn’t made it to Stray Dog Bar & Grill yet. Budget cuts, tragic. But there’s water, drinks, and zero shoe policy, so it’s on the list. We just need a brave soul to confirm it’s real, preferably with a cold drink in hand.
