Sandra and Eudoxie Wallace turned a barren cay in Island Harbour into a beach bar and BBQ in 1985, and in the early years guests ate off grape leaves while sitting in the sand. It is still the only building on the island and there is still no electricity, so everything is grilled. Lobster and crayfish come with Sandra’s secret sauce or garlic butter, and the rum punch has a reputation of its own. You get out there on the five-dollar round-trip ferry from the Island Harbour dock, or, if you are showing off, by helicopter: the cay has its own helipad. Lunch Wednesdays and Sundays, with a live reggae band on Sundays.
