We haven't made it to this bar yet, but here is what we know

A genuine Chesapeake City landmark on the C&D Canal since the 1930s, Schaefer’s has been watching enormous ships transit the canal for nearly a century, and the deck experience of sipping a cold drink while a 600-foot freighter glides past close enough to wave at has not gotten old. The full-service restaurant and marina make this a dock-and-dine destination, and the consistent quality of the seafood over so many decades has made it an institution for boaters and road-trippers alike.

We Haven’t Been Here Yet
The Beach Bar Bum hasn’t made it to Schaefer’s Canal House yet. Budget cuts, tragic. But there’s water, drinks, and zero shoe policy, so it’s on the list. We just need a brave soul to confirm it’s real, preferably with a cold drink in hand.
