Tucked just off the Duval Loop on Caroline Street, Off the Hook is one of Key West’s beloved neighborhood bars with a loyal local following and an LGBTQ+-owned, women-owned heart. Two full bars, 8 TVs for sports, outdoor seating, and a menu of fresh seafood that punches well above its casual setting: the coconut shrimp, mahi sandwich, and tuna nachos all get raves. Happy hour runs 4–5:30 PM daily, and weekend brunch brings the island out to play. This is the spot that locals point visitors to when they want something real over something shiny. Come for the oysters, stay for the vibe.

We Haven’t Been Here Yet

The Beach Bar Bum hasn’t made it to Off the Hook yet. Budget cuts, tragic. But there’s water, drinks, and zero shoe policy, so it’s on the list. We just need a brave soul to confirm it’s real, preferably with a cold drink in hand.
