Right on the water at Marriott’s Ko Olina Beach Club, Longboards is what you want a resort beach bar to be, casual, open to the breeze, and stocked with enough tropical drinks to make the lagoon look even better. Named for the Kona Brewing Company’s flagship beer (which you can get on tap right here), this spot has been keeping Ko Olina guests happy since the resort opened in 2003. The wraparound outdoor deck puts you a few steps above the sand with unobstructed views of the Pacific rolling in, and that sunset view is genuinely hard to beat. The menu runs through the greatest hits, burgers, fish tacos, poke rice bowls, and the kind of truffle parm fries that make you question every decision you’ve ever made before arriving. Happy hour twice a day, live music in the evenings, and a vibe that doesn’t ask too much of you. That’s the deal here, and it’s a good one.
Worth pairing with the rest of beach bars across Hawaii.
