Tucked behind the Diamond Casino at the quiet end of the boardwalk, Lazy Lizard does something almost nobody else on this island bothers with. It makes its own drinks from scratch. There is an SXM IPA on draft, a passion fruit beer people come back for, and a house banana rum that regulars describe as dangerously smooth. The kitchen leans on fried snapper and tacos, jerk chicken and fish, and the portions are not shy. It has more reviews than anything else on the strip, which for a place set back off the sand tells you something. Open eleven to five on weekdays and closed at weekends, so this is a working-week bar in a town that runs on cruise schedules.
Worth pairing with the rest of beach bars across Sint Maarten.
