The Hermosa Beach outpost of the Southern California Irish pub chain, Hennessey’s Tavern sits on the Hermosa Beach Pier Plaza with Pacific Ocean views, cold draft beers, live music, and the cheerful, uncomplicated energy of a pub that has been a Hermosa Beach anchor for decades. The Pier Plaza location puts the beach action right in your sightline; the cold pints and live music do the rest.

The Beach Bar Bum hasn’t made it to Hennessey’s Tavern Hermosa Beach yet. Budget cuts, tragic. But there’s water, drinks, and zero shoe policy, so it’s on the list. We just need a brave soul to confirm it’s real, preferably with a cold drink in hand.
