Bay St. Louis rebuilt Old Town after Katrina took most of it, and the stretch where Main Street runs into Beach Boulevard is now one of the better places on the Mississippi coast to sit with a drink. Cuz’s is at 108 South Beach Boulevard, right at that corner, with the Bay of St. Louis and the sand across the road. It is an oyster bar and grill, which on this coast means raw, chargrilled or fried and you pick. The harbor and the long bridge over to Pass Christian are both in the frame. Old Town is walkable in a way most Gulf towns are not, so this makes a good first stop or a good last one. Order the oysters however the guy behind the bar tells you to.
