Buoys sits at 115 South Beach Boulevard in Bay St. Louis, a few steps from Cuz’s and directly across from the water. This is the corner where Old Town meets the beach, and it is a bar first, which around here is worth saying out loud. Beach Boulevard runs along the Bay of St. Louis with the sand and the harbor on the other side of the road, so the water is right there without anybody having to build a deck over it. Bay St. Louis has a real local drinking culture, helped along by the fact that everything in Old Town sits within a five-minute walk of everything else. Buoys is part of that circuit. Start here, end here, or do both.
