Chill opened on the beach at Lions Dive & Beach Resort in 2014 and hung a handful of driftwood signposts on day one. People kept bringing more. The signs are now the thing the place is known for, a thicket of hand-painted driftwood pointing off toward businesses all over the island and well beyond it. Anyone can add one, but there are rules. It has to be actual driftwood rather than a plank off the shelf, no bigger than 40 by 20 centimeters, and they would very much like you to paint on the distance from Chill to wherever you came from. The handyman hangs new arrivals every few weeks, and Chill picks the spot, not you. Underneath all of it: hammocks, cold beer, meat and fish skewers off the grill from noon, and happy hour Friday and Sunday from five to six.
