There is no road to the Tŷ Coch Inn. It sits on the shore at Porthdinllaen on the north coast of the Llŷn Peninsula, and the last stretch is a twenty minute walk from the nearest car park. That filter is most of the reason the place is what it is.
The building is the red one, which is how everybody describes it, and inside runs nautical to the point of jugs and jars hanging off the beams. Cask ales rotate.
Go at lunch. There is no food in the evenings and the doors shut at 7pm on weekdays, which has stranded more than one person who planned the day around a dinner that was never on offer.
