Seaside is the northern anchor of the Oregon coast, the town at the end of the Lewis and Clark Trail where the continent stops and the Pacific begins. The Pearl is the local’s bar in a town where tourist traps are not hard to find. It lands at the top of Yelp’s dive bar list for the area: video lottery in the back corner, reasonable drink prices, friendly staff who smile while they pour. No pretension, no performance, just a good bar doing its job. After driving the 101 with the windows down, this is exactly the kind of place where you want to sit down.
