A beloved Rincon institution perched above Sandy Beach (the most beginner-friendly surf break in the Caribbean’s surf capital), Tamboo delivers cold Medalla Light, cold rum cocktails, and fresh Puerto Rican coastal food with a front-row view of the surf action below. Rincon became the surf capital of the Caribbean after hosting the 1968 World Surfing Championships, putting this small west-coast town permanently on the global surf map; Tamboo gives you cold drinks and the best seat in the house to watch the surf that made it famous.

We Haven’t Been Here Yet

The Beach Bar Bum hasn’t made it to Tamboo Bar and Seaside Grill yet. Budget cuts, tragic. But there’s water, drinks, and zero shoe policy, so it’s on the list. We just need a brave soul to confirm it’s real, preferably with a cold drink in hand.
