At Mile Marker 94.5 oceanside in Key Largo, Snapper’s has earned its reputation the old-fashioned way, the seafood menu is printed fresh every day because they genuinely don’t know what’s coming to the dock until it arrives, and everything is filleted on the premises. The sauces and chowders are made from scratch daily. The main restaurant is solid, but the real action is at the Turtle Club, the attached tiki bar built to look like an old fishing cabin on a dock, with live bands every night and twice on Sundays, and bar stools made from old white captain’s chairs pulled off actual boats. The signature drink is a Dark and Stormy. Stone crab claws, yellowtail snapper, and Florida lobster tail are always available when in season. Boat access via GPS N-25 02.424 / W-080.29.567. A perennial Top 10 Florida beach bar and deeply deserving of the title.
