A surf-culture-inspired beach bar at East Beach in Norfolk, Longboards brings the laid-back energy of the longboard lifestyle to Hampton Roads’ most underrated beach: a quiet, residential stretch of sand on the Chesapeake Bay that Norfolk locals guard as carefully as Virginia Beach visitors guard their strip. Cold cocktails, cold beer, live music on weekends, and the easy, unhurried character of a beach that has not been commercialized.

We Haven’t Been Here Yet

The Beach Bar Bum hasn’t made it to Longboards East Beach-Norfolk yet. Budget cuts, tragic. But there’s water, drinks, and zero shoe policy, so it’s on the list. We just need a brave soul to confirm it’s real, preferably with a cold drink in hand.
