Puerto Viejo’s most beloved beach bar (an institution born from six friends and a revitalized disco), now the beating heart of the Caribbean coast’s nightlife. Right in front of the ocean with live reggae, DJ sets, 2-for-1 cocktails on weekdays, and the kind of wild night energy that can only happen when the beach is your dance floor. The Lazy Mama cocktail is a Caribbean must. Closed Wednesdays.

The Beach Bar Bum hasn’t made it to Lazy Mon yet. Budget cuts, tragic. But there’s water, drinks, and zero shoe policy, so it’s on the list. We just need a brave soul to confirm it’s real, preferably with a cold drink in hand.
