Chef Jean-Luc Taulere’s legendary beachfront bar and restaurant on one of Costa Rica’s most beautiful beaches (teak tables under white canvas umbrellas spread on the sand, fresh yellowfin tuna tacos, blackened swordfish wraps, signature Coco Loco cocktail served in a real coconut, and frozen tamarind mojitos at sunset). Often live music after dark. A Playa Flamingo icon open daily 11am-9:30pm.

We Haven’t Been Here Yet

The Beach Bar Bum hasn’t made it to Coco Loco Playa Flamingo yet. Budget cuts, tragic. But there’s water, drinks, and zero shoe policy, so it’s on the list. We just need a brave soul to confirm it’s real, preferably with a cold drink in hand.
