If you want to drink where Bogart drank, the Caribbean Club is your bar. Opened in 1938 and owned by the same family since 1963, this is the oldest bar in the Upper Keys and the only place in Key Largo where the 1948 Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall film “Key Largo” was actually filmed. The walls are stacked with movie memorabilia, the back deck looks straight out at Florida Bay, and the sunsets here have won “Best Sunset in the Upper Keys” three years running. Come by car, boat, or bike. Live music Thursday through Sunday, karaoke Wednesdays, daily happy hours, and a Key Lime Pie Rum Punch that’s become its own kind of legend. One of the last relics of Old Key Largo — don’t miss it.
