A blue-collar Ocean City institution and the undisputed home-away-from-home for Pittsburgh sports fans, Buxy’s Salty Dog on Philadelphia Avenue delivers cold beer, pierogis, Pennsylvania cheesesteaks, and the kind of unpretentious local-bar energy that Ocean City’s tourist-heavy strip sometimes forgets to have. Live entertainment, sports on every screen, and the loyal local following that keeps a bar alive through the shoulder seasons. Billed as “home away from home” for Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins fans, but welcoming enough that any good-natured bar-goer will feel right at home.

We Haven’t Been Here Yet

The Beach Bar Bum hasn’t made it to Buxy’s Salty Dog yet. Budget cuts, tragic. But there’s water, drinks, and zero shoe policy, so it’s on the list. We just need a brave soul to confirm it’s real, preferably with a cold drink in hand.
