We haven't made it to this bar yet, but here is what we know

Before it was a bar with arguably the best view in Sydney, Bondi Icebergs was a dare. A group of local lifeguards founded the club in 1929 with one brutal membership rule: swim in the ocean pool at least three Sundays out of four, for five straight years, winter included, no exceptions, or you’re out. That’s Rule 15B, and it’s still enforced. The club went licensed in 1960, women were finally let in as full members in 1995, and a 2002 rebuild gave the clubhouse its current glass-walled dining room and bars perched right above the famous tidal pool, where waves crash straight over the edge. Order a beer, watch the swimmers below brave water the sauna crowd wouldn’t touch, and take in a view that’s launched a thousand postcards. Icebergs isn’t just a bar. It’s ninety-plus years of Sydney refusing to let winter win.
