On Loblolly Bay on Anegada, Big Bamboo is one of the BVI’s most beloved beach bars: a simple beach shack on one of the Caribbean’s most strikingly beautiful beaches, serving cold rum cocktails, fresh-caught lobster, and the unhurried island ease that Anegada’s flat, isolated character delivers in abundance. The snorkeling on Anegada’s reef is world-class, the lobster is the freshest you will find, and Big Bamboo is the natural reward for making the sail to this remote island.

Worth pairing with the rest of beach bars across the BVI.

We Haven’t Been Here Yet

The Beach Bar Bum hasn’t made it to Big Bamboo yet. Budget cuts, tragic. But there’s water, drinks, and zero shoe policy, so it’s on the list. We just need a brave soul to confirm it’s real, preferably with a cold drink in hand.
