What began in 1984 as a guy shucking oysters behind a small trailer on the Destin Harbor has grown into one of the most iconic entertainment complexes on the Emerald Coast. AJ’s Seafood and Oyster Bar on Destin Harbor is now a multi-level, multi-stage operation with several dining areas, live music stages, shopping, dancing, and sunset and dolphin cruises departing right from the dock. The signature Oysters AJ (baked with jalapeños, Monterey Jack, and bacon) is the order; the Bimini Bash five-rum cocktail is the drink. Home of the Destin Fishing Rodeo and ranked in the Top 100 Nightclubs nationally. Open until 2 AM on weekends.

We Haven’t Been Here Yet

The Beach Bar Bum hasn’t made it to AJ’s Seafood and Oyster Bar yet. Budget cuts, tragic. But there’s water, drinks, and zero shoe policy, so it’s on the list. We just need a brave soul to confirm it’s real, preferably with a cold drink in hand.
